After a such a long winter it’s great to see the sun finally shining and with it bringing the numerous events and activities throughout Scotland.  Paul Wedgwood was kept busy at this year’s Taste of Edinburgh holding demonstrations each day.  If you missed those then be sure to catch him at The Highland Show.  Kinloch Lodge on Skye got off to a tremendous start this year achieving a Michelin Star - a first for the Scottish Islands.  Chef Marcello Tully recently returned from Brazil where he represented Scotland at the Brazil Whisky Festival.  The Roost Restaurant is now open Thursday-Saturday evenings for dinner as well as lunch six days a week. Roost’s Roast is becoming famed throughout Perthshire.  Ardeonaig has planted a further 150 vines and now has a promising vineyard of over 200 vines.  Don’t miss Pete Gottgens’ demonstration at the Scottish Game Fair - Sunday 4 July.  Dunan Mountain Bothy has now reopened having been inaccessible for most of the winter along with frozen pipes.  Molton Brown luxuries and fluffy towels await you at one of the most remote places to stay in Scotland.  Darroch Learg has appointed a new guide who can take you to heights you never thought possible then return to enjoy the Franks’ superb hospitality and David Mutter’s cooking; the longest holder of three AA Rosettes in Scotland.  The Crianlarich Hotel has had a superb year so far clocking up several awards and is an ideal place to stay and enjoy the great outdoors.  And of course Polmaily House in Drumnadrochit has survived the flood of last year and is open once more as a haven for families.
