Welcome to Thompson PR; offering bespoke marketing and PR for the hotel and restaurant sector in Scotland.   Firstly a huge congratulations goes to Wedgwood the Restaurant who has just been named the Best Up-and-coming Restaurant in the UK by Harden's UK Restaurant Guide 2010.  Congratulations also goes to Pete Gottgens chef/owner of Ardeonaig Hotel & Restaurant who was awarded The Glenfiddich Spirit of Scotland Food Award 2009 in December.  This came hot on the tail of Pete being named SLTN Entrepreneur of the Year 2009 in October together with winning their Wine Award.  These are arguably some of the top food and drink industry awards in Scotland so it's certainly exciting times for both Wedgwood and Ardeonaig.

With the cold weather bringing with it numerous logistical challenges it can often be difficult to get some people out of hibernation.  However, as we know winter in Scotland can be fabulous – crisp early mornings, wonderful fresh air, stunning scenery and the opportunity to relax in a hotel by a warming fire.  Ensure you’re making the most of the season together with the PR and marketing opportunities available.  And should you have a spare quiet moment don’t forget now is the time to work on the marketing strategy for the rest of the year and particularly concentrating on next Autumn/Winter.
