About Diana Thompson

Diana Thompson has over 20 years’
specialist marketing and PR experience in the wine trade and hospitality
industry. In 2003 Diana achieved “Top
10” PR people status in the UK
as nominated by Harpers Wine & Spirit Weekly.
During her experience with Corney & Barrow Wine
Merchants, Southcorp Wines Europe and Waverley Group Diana employed a number of
agencies on various projects. Whilst employed as Communications Manager for Waverley Group Diana was placed in the Top 10 UK PR people by Harpers Wine & Spirit.
Frustratingly it was clear during this time that there was a
distinct lack of specialist agencies in the industry, who took the time to
understand their client’s business, could meet objectives and deliver a genuine
personal service.
It was with this experience that
Diana launched Thompson PR; an
independent PR and marketing consultancy offering a genuinely personal,
dedicated and specialist service to hotels and restaurants in Scotland.
